Position Overview

As a Fintech & Financial Services Associate, you will play a crucial role in representing startups and founder-led companies across all stages, from pre-formation to capital markets. You will have the opportunity to work exclusively with financial technology innovators, helping them navigate complex regulations while developing innovative strategies to drive their success.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice to fintech clients, particularly in the payments space
• Draft and review contracts, risk disclosures, memos, and other legal documents
• Analyze complex regulatory frameworks and develop creative solutions for clients
• Collaborate with partners and take leadership roles in building and shaping the practice
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in fintech and financial services regulations

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the New York State Bar
• 1-3 years of experience in fintech, particularly related to payments products/services and banking
• Strong writing skills and the ability to express complex ideas and analyses clearly
• Creative problem-solving abilities and a nuanced approach to developing client strategies
• Passion for the fintech industry and a drive to help build a growing practice
