Position Overview

Our client, a leading US law firm with an international footprint, is seeking talented junior and midlevel IP Associates to join their dynamic Technology Transactions & Privacy practice in Dallas.

As an IP Associate, you will play a key role in supporting the firm's clients on a range of cutting-edge technology transactions and privacy matters. You will have the opportunity to work on sophisticated licensing agreements, SaaS contracts, privacy policies, and data processing terms for clients across various industries. Your expertise will contribute to the firm's reputation for delivering exceptional value and tangible results to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate various agreements, including license agreements, SaaS agreements, privacy policies, and data processing terms
  • Advise clients on intellectual property aspects of transactions involving software development, outsourcing, cloud computing, hosting, naming rights, and e-commerce
  • Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to provide comprehensive solutions to client needs
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in technology transactions and privacy law to provide informed counsel to clients
  • Contribute to the firm's thought leadership and business development efforts

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
  • 1-5 years of experience in technology transactions and privacy matters
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment
  • Admission to the Texas bar (or willingness to sit for the Texas bar exam)
  • Degree in computer science, engineering, or science preferred (but not required)
